Natalie Umbarger Dodd was born in Knox County, Tennessee on March 15, 1929. Natalie was the oldest child of Robert and Marcella Green Umbarger and sister to Richard, who was born in 1931. Natalie married Robert Kauble in 1947 in Kokomo, Indiana where they welcomed the arrival of their children LeeAnn, Timothy and Michael.
